Security OfficerThe role of Security Officer is to operate with the day-to-day operation and long-term outlook of the safety and security department.As a Security Officer for the Radisson Blu Mall of America, no two days will be the same. You, along with a team of other Security Officers, will be responsible for keeping the guests and employees of the hotel safe on a daily basis.Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $22.00Benefits we provide:Employee discounts on thousands of hotelsEnjoy a complimentary meal in the associate cafeteria during your shiftFree ParkingPaid Sick Time (MN Earned Sick and Safe Time)1st of the month following 30 days of service:Full benefits package to our full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, short & long term disability, and so much more!401(k) Retirement Plan90 Days:Paid Vacation and Sick Time8 Paid HolidaysPaid Bereavement1 Year:Paid Floating HolidaysKey ResponsibilitiesCreates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service expectations and standards:Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring proper security methods and procedures are carried out consistentlyEnsures that all employees follow safety rules and proceduresTakes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areasImproves safety and security at hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actionsCompletes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shiftMonitor all activity and diligently monitor building video surveillanceInspects hotel regularly to observe potential security or safety related problems and takes necessary actions to alleviate themKeeps hotel management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significanceUnderstand written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threatsResponds to all emergency situations immediatelyTakes appropriate action to safeguard guests, employees and the hotelProcesses all written reports involving security related incidents and customer or employee accidentsHandles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on: customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints as necessaryReviews accident investigations to ensure accurate and complete reportingEnsures that all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policyMaintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keysCloses down the different outlets each night as per post ordersEnsures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized persons out of the area and prevent theftMaintains responsibility for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threatsLogs and delivers all in-house packages and monitors out going deliveriesChecks in and out all vendors to the hotelMeets with leaders on a regular basisCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectationsGives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problemsProvides Yes I Can!
