POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of plant operations, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and financial results. This role ensures effective execution of manufacturing processes, achievement of production targets, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for a manufacturing facility specializing in vibration monitoring technology, including oversight of production, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality, and EHS functions. Accountable for P&L performance, resource optimization, and KPI attainment. Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to business planning, operational strategy, and organizational performance to position the company for growth.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operations Leadership
2. Lead all day-to-day plant operations to achieve or exceed targets related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
3. Ensure consistent execution of standardized manufacturing processes and best practices
4. Drive operational efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery (OTD) performance
5. Strategy & Continuous Improvement
6. Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth, cost optimization, and capacity expansion
7. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve performance
8. Establish and monitor KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement across the organization
9. Provide insights into global labor and productivity trends to support strategic decision-making
10. Financial & Business Management
11. Maintain full accountability for plant financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, cost control, and capital investments
12. Develop and manage site-level budgets, forecasts, and capital projects aligned with business priorities
13. Partner with leadership to support long-term strategic planning and business objectives
14. People Leadership
15. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, multi-functional team
16. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
17. Build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development
18. Promote a consistent leadership approach aligned with company values and expectations
19. Cross-Functional Collaboration
20. Partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to align operations with business and customer needs
21. Collaborate with Sales to ensure operational alignment with customer expectations and service levels
22. Serve as a key liaison between plant operations and executive leadership
23. Quality, Compliance & Safety
24. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards
25. Provide leadership oversight for quality systems, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
26. Promote and sustain a strong safety culture across all plant operations
27. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Background

• Minimum of 10 – 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles (i.e. Operations Manager, Plant Manager).
• Proven experience leading operations in a complex manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers/suppliers
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• MBA preferred.

Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
