The ideal candidate will have exposure to the aerospace industry as well as a materials engineering background. This role has both program facing and lab responsibilities. This role will report within the materials engineering group and be based in Redmond, WA. Essential Functions Perform lab evaluations of metallurgical specimens leveraging tools such as optical and electron microscopy Update and enhance materials specifications and other program requirements Interface with the internal manufacturing team to support processing on-site Qualifications To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age. Preferred Additional Skills Exposure to a variety of materials characterization techniques Exposure to chemical or industrial environments and appropriate safety practices Benchtop chemistry and lab expertise Salary & Benefits In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington is $68,000 - $126,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
