Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care experience License: Valid State License required Certifications: Required WA Licensure Must-Have: Acute care experience Ability to float between units Collaborative team player Flexibility to work in various areas Experience in a rehabilitation setting is a bonus Description: The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients across multiple areas of the hospital. This includes Acute, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehabilitation Units. Common patient diagnoses include multi-trauma, spinal cord injuries, strokes, surgical cases, orthopedic conditions, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. The position requires the therapist to work closely with a team and pick up extra patients as needed to meet productivity standards. Candidates should be friendly, outgoing, and able to integrate well with a close-knit team. Experience in handling acute care settings is essential. The role demands a strong work ethic and effective time management skills. Candidates should be open to working weekends on a rotating basis approximately every 3-4 weeks. On-call duties are not required, and there is no mandatory weekend coverage outside of the rotation.
