Occupational Therapist

This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and educators, helping to foster growth and success in the classroom. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and play a crucial part in students' educational journeys.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current, valid Occupational Therapist license
• Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Proficiency in assessments, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for pediatric and adolescent populations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Adaptable, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students as referred
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and treatment plans based on assessment findings and IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in IEPs, collaborating with educators to adapt interventions to the classroom setting
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input as a subject matter expert
• Deliver training and consultation to staff and families regarding strategies and accommodations for classroom success
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all school and federal guidelines
