Fire Maintenance Agreements Sales Representative

About the Role Johnson Controls International plc is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation and service of building systems. We are seeking a PMA (Preventive Maintenance Agreement) Service Sales Representative to promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication and inspection products. Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives. Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives. Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that supports the sales plan. Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates. Establish contact with prospects, qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls and following up on leads using outlined marketing strategies. Maintain correct and complete records of all sales‑related activities. Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner. Build and maintain a positive ongoing relationship with customers to ensure long‑term loyalty. Support the service department to generate leads for service or equipment/device upgrades. Required Qualifications Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage in both individual and group communication. Experience selling intangible services. Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards and disciplines. Highly self‑motivated, success‑driven, and energetic with a focus on customers. Excellent organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to persuade and close sales. Personable, outgoing, energetic, genuine, reliable, influential and memorable. Minimum of two years of successful sales experience in a quota‑setting environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or engineering. 2–3 previous progressive sales roles. Knowledge of the fire and life‑safety industry. Experience with Salesforce.com. Aptitude for technical knowledge with a high level of attention to detail. Compensation HIRING SALARY RANGE: $46,400 – $69,800 (salary determined by education, experience, skills and market data). This role also offers a competitive sales incentive plan that accounts for project volume and margin on a quarterly and annual basis.
