TEMPORARY PART-TIME POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of BC3 @ Brockway Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician. This is a temporary part-time position that will begin immediately. Work hours and days will vary based on the needs of the lab. The employee will be required to travel to Main Campus occasionally for training.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Science and Technology Labs, the Brockway Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician is responsible for preparing materials for biology labs, assigned physical science labs, and Descriptive Chemistry. In addition, the technician is responsible for obtaining supplies needed for the lab, the collection, recording, and storage of chemical waste, inventory of equipment and supplies at this site, organizing and maintaining the Lab and the Prep Room to create a safe working environment, and arranging for the repair of dysfunctional equipment. Site supervision will be with the Director of BC3 @ Brockway while at the Brockway Site. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Biology or a related field, plus one year of experience in chemistry or biology laboratory work. Flexible work schedule available to support the needs of the labs. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
