1st Shift Kinetic Burn Table Operator

Kinetic Operator - Burn Table Shifts: 1 or 2 shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Location: Waukesha, WI Pay Range: up to $28 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner Sets up and operates burn table equipment using fuel gas and plasma cutting processes Sets up and performs bevel cutting using fuel gas bevel cutting tips Sets up and burns structural shapes and three-dimensional parts in accordance with work instructions Performs oxygen piercing as required for cutting operations Sets up, adjusts, and operates CNC programs for cutting operations Calculates and adjusts cutting speeds based on material type, thickness, and tooling requirements Adjusts burning setup to minimize dross buildup and ensures parts meet quality and welding requirements Reads and interprets drawings, shop orders, and work instructions to complete jobs to specification Verifies correct quantity and cut quality of parts produced Performs first-piece and random dimensional inspections using measuring instruments and gauges Documents inspection results and manages quality documentation as required by customer specifications Uses measuring tools and gauging devices to monitor work in progress and verify final product dimensions Identifies and reports quality issues, equipment concerns, or process improvements to supervision Maintains burn table equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition Works collaboratively with supervisors and team members; takes notes, asks questions, and provides input to improve processes Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years of experience operating burn tables or similar cutting equipment Experience with either fuel gas cutting or plasma cutting required; experience with both preferred Program editing experience preferred Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools to verify part dimensions Physical Demands The employee is required to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Job duties require frequent reaching, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment and tools. The position may require moving or transferring materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand-up equipment. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
