Job Description Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through implementation of a comprehensive programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience Required Certificates and Licenses: Colorado Social Worker Certificate OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker Residency Requirements: Must reside in Colorado This position is remote and strongly prefer candidates that reside in Colorado. The Social Worker is responsible for helping families in situations of crisis, abuse and neglect, in addition to supporting other areas of social-emotional need affecting student academic achievement. The position responds to issues directly, by facilitating meetings and/or by coordinating services with outside parties such as Child Protective Services, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and other community-based organizations. Maintains caseload of students/families referred for additional support Provides brief assessments to develop an action plan with students and families Facilitates family intervention meetings with families in crisis or with multi-dimensional needs Serves as point-of-contact for teachers and administration for families in crisis; supports staff training and implementation of support processes Serves as liaison for ESSA subgroups, McKinney-Vento, and migrant students; follows up with families by phone or in-person, coordinates with external agencies (e.g. Child Protective Services, The Department of Juvenile Justice, community service agencies, etc.) as needed Maintains an active role and awareness of local community resources within school boundaries, through research, attending local meetings and/or networking events.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in social work or related social service field AND One (1) year of documented social work field experience AND Social work education course work, to include Human Behavior in the Social Environment equivalent OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to clear required background check

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency. Ability to travel 20% of the time Three (3) years of field experience Background working in education Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. Exempt (salary): Post annual salary We anticipate the salary range to be $21.37 - $26.71 - $32.06. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
