Position Details Mercy Hospital St Louis RN - Wound Care FT DAYS Education Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications WCC/WOCN certification Overview Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a select group of patients requiring wound and ostomy care within the organization’s nursing services. Responsibilities Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for wound and ostomy patients. Treat and monitor wounds such as surgical openings, ulcers, decubitus ulcers, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. Assess wounds and create and implement effective treatment plans. Monitor infections and signs of various infections. Clean wounds appropriately. Assess symptoms requiring management of complex wounds.
