Kitchen AssociateTEMPO Employment Services is seeking an experienced Kitchen Associate to join the team at a busy local restaurant in Presque Isle. This is an Opportunity-to-Hire position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and has previous professional cooking experience. The Kitchen Associate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, assisting with food prep, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and supporting the overall flow of restaurant operations.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and proceduresAssist with food preparation, including preparing ingredients for serviceCook food safely and consistently during busy meal periodsMonitor food quality, portioning, and presentationMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and cooking areaFollow proper food handling, storage, and food safety proceduresAssist with stocking and rotating food and kitchen suppliesCommunicate and work cooperatively with kitchen and restaurant staffComplete cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assignedFollow all workplace safety and sanitation requirementsPerform other kitchen duties as needed to support daily restaurant operationsQualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience cooking in a professional kitchen requiredServSafe training/certification preferred and qualifies for the higher starting pay rateAbility to work in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environmentDependable with strong attendance and punctualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work both daytime and evening shifts is helpfulAbility to stand for extended periods and meet the physical demands of kitchen workNo visa sponsorship is available for this positionThis position requires completion of a pre-employment background check.
