As our HR Recruiting & Retention Specialist, you’ll be the bridge between exceptional talent and a workplace that champions their success. You’ll design and execute strategies to attract top candidates, ensure a seamless hiring experience, and implement retention programs that keep our team engaged, motivated, and proud to be here. Your work will directly shape the strength, diversity, and longevity of our workforce.

What You'll Do

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and craft compelling, inclusive job postings.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline using platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and niche job boards.
• Develop and implement retention initiatives such as mentorship programs, career development plans, and employee recognition systems. Being present in our business locations and with our employees is a prerequisite for success. Travel to locations throughout Central New York is required.
• Analyze turnover trends and engagement survey data to recommend actionable improvements.
• Organize onboarding experiences that set new hires up for long-term success.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, fostering open communication and a positive workplace culture.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR generalist roles.
• Proven success in both high-volume and specialized recruitment.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and retention strategies.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday) and HRIS platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you know how to connect with people at all levels.
• A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate metrics into actionable strategies.
• A passion for building inclusive, equitable workplaces.
