Key Responsibilities of the Endoscopy Technician

• Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation and maintenance
• Assist with procedures while maintaining sterile integrity
• Disassemble and perform maintenance on all procedure supplies and equipment
• Perform pre-cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes
• Follow protocols for reprocessing and storing equipment
• Determine high-level disinfection methods for products
• Check and calibrate equipment as per protocol
• Conduct ambulatory technician duties, including vital signs documentation and patient transport

Requirements of the Endoscopy Technician

• Travel experience required with previous completion of at least one travel assignment
• No licensure/certifications required; HLD certification highly encouraged
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
