Psychiatry - Child & Adolescent

Seeking three full-time Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the clinical scholar pathway. These three physicians will join a team of professionals to provide inpatient psychiatry services. There is an opportunity to do outpatient services if desired. Call is: one weeknight per month and three to four weekends per year. Inpatient psychiatry services include an 18-bed Adult Unit and a 12-bed Child/Adolescent Unit. Care is delivered in a multi-disciplinary approach. Excellent sub-specialty coverage with ED visits above 46,000. Selected candidates will be responsible for direct patient care along with, potentially, supervision and teaching of child psychiatry fellows, residents, and medical students. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from working as part of an innovative service model and an ability to work collaboratively are essential. An interest in clinical research, teaching, and/or public health is a plus. Knowledge of evidence-based medical practice is essential. Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefit package including 10 days of CME. Relocation assistance of $10,000 and loan repayment up to $60,000 is offered.

A non-profit, level II trauma center serving a tri-county area of 170,000. We are a regional tertiary center that offers high technology and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Our typical daily census is approximately 260 (approximately 150 acute beds) with 155 physicians on the Medical Staff. Our sub-specialty support is very good. Of significance is that we expanded our cardiology services to include open-heart surgery and angioplasty in 2005.
