Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Radiation Therapist responsible for administering therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions. This position requires attention to detail, ensuring accurate and precise dosage delivery, and maintaining thorough patient records.

Key Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic radiation in exact accordance with physician prescriptions.
• Reviews patient charts, diagnoses, and prescriptions for completeness and technical accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms and specialized immobilization, treatment, and protection devices.
• Positions patients accurately and confirms patient identification before every treatment.
• Enters clinical data into computer systems to operate equipment and regulate precise dosages.
• Monitors and reassures patients during treatment, reporting any unusual reactions to the physician or nurse.
• Photographs treated areas and maintains detailed, accurate records and treatment files.
• Strictly follows all radiation protection principles for patient, self, and team safety.
• Manages daily operation and warm-up procedures for all treatment equipment.

Skills

• Strong clinical experience with Varian TrueBeam.
• Bonus: Experience with Moriah / Mosaiq (helpful, but not required).
• No HDR or 21ix experience needed.
