Overview Labor and Delivery is a Level 3 birthing center with 17 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, a 3‑bed recovery room, an 8‑bed triage, and an Antepartum unit of 9 beds focused on high‑risk pregnancy. It is a Level II trauma center and known for excellence in orthopedics, neuroscience, women's health, heart & vascular, and cancer care. Scope of Work The RN provides professional nursing care under the ANA scope of practice, incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN works under the Nurse Leader’s direction, following Corewell Health policies, and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients and families, incorporates their input into care planning, develops teaching strategies, and documents education in the health record.
