Job Description: Support Teacher at Temple Sinai Preschool

Are you passionate about early childhood education or considering returning to the field? Temple Sinai David Pregeron Preschool is seeking a support teacher to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages positive play, community building, and the development of a positive Jewish identity. Hourly rate of $22-$25 hours based on experince. We currently have the opportunity to pay for teachers to take the 4 college classes to become a qualified teacher! This opportunity is only availabe for this school year.

Position Overview:

As a support teacher, you will:

• Foster a positive, energetic, and solution-oriented classroom environment.
• Engage in reflective practice to continually improve teaching methods.
• Stay up-to-date with all communications and incorporate emergent interests of the children into the curriculum.
• Promote children's growth, development, and learning through effective teaching strategies.
• Maintain and update documentation in the classroom and online, linking it to Jewish learning, developmental goals, and skill-building.
• Approach interactions with children through a child-centered lens, being actively engaged, and acting as a coach, role model, and active observer.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) classes
• At least 1 year of teaching experience
• Ability to work collaboratively and be a flexible, supportive, and participatory member of the community
