Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Abbott seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support cardiac rhythm management manufacturing operations in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The role involves optimizing line performance across quality, safety, yield, and output while collaborating with supervisors, quality engineers, and operators on process improvements and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned production line quality, safety, yield, and output metrics
- Identify defects and implement operational or process improvements to reduce them
- Lead root cause analysis and support corrective action investigations using DMAIC methodology
- Develop and execute engineering solutions including tooling and manufacturing aids
- Execute change management for materials, equipment, and processes affecting the line
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- Knowledge of applicable US and non-US regulations
- Manufacturing or process engineering expertise and principles
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Basic statistics knowledge (preferred)
Compensation: $45,000–$89,800 base
