Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

License: Required

Certifications: CNA, BLS

Must-Have: Previous experience in ICU or PCU

Description:
This role involves providing care to patients in an intensive care setting.
The unit has 82 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:16.
Common diagnoses include pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory failure, heart failure, COVID-19, and patients post-surgery or stroke.
Duties include monitoring blood sugars, assisting with activities of daily living, stocking supplies, and cleaning rooms upon discharge.
The position requires the ability to float within critical care areas.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and holiday coverage may be necessary if possible.
No call or standby requirements exist for this position.
Professional dress is expected, with no specific scrub color required.
Unit-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts.
The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment.
Charting is conducted using an electronic system.
A COVID-19 vaccine is required as part of the certifications for this role.
