Job Overview The Construction Scheduling Consultant supports various construction consulting projects under the supervision of senior leadership. The role involves implementing and monitoring project control tools and preparing progress and performance reports. Responsibilities Assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules for multiple construction projects of various sizes and complexity. Collaborate with leadership and project stakeholders to identify detailed tasks, durations, dependencies, and resources necessary to build, update, and maintain a project’s Overall Project Schedule. Monitor project timelines and deadlines. Perform schedule reviews to ensure best practices are implemented. Communicate schedule performance and advise the team on status and preventative or corrective actions required. Regularly walk construction job sites to review activity progress and apply construction sequencing knowledge. Conduct or attend project-related meetings and/or job-site-specific meetings when schedule emphasis is discussed. Prepare comprehensive, informative, and professional progress reports for stakeholders. Build and maintain solid working relationships with clients and the project team. Experience Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred in Building Science, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related technical fields with at least two years of industry experience. Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant construction-related work experience may satisfy the degree requirement. Minimum Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills; attentive to detail and capable of producing professional, accurate written business communication. Self-starter who can multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Physically able to safely walk multi‑story buildings under construction. Willingness to travel 40%-60% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and interpret building and site plans and specifications. Minimum of two years of scheduling experience within the construction industry. Understanding of Critical Path Methodology and knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other industry‑standard CPM scheduling software. Benefits Competitive salary and annual merit increase.
