Warehouse Manager
We’re working with a major food manufacturer that’s seeking a Warehouse Manager for their 2 nd shift. This key leadership role will be responsible for warehouse and shipping operations, including inventory, staffing safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost management. The Warehouse Manager will have the opportunity to develop a high-performing team, drive operational improvements, and contribute to the continued success of this growing facility.
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, sanitation, and order fulfillment.
- Plan staffing and workflow to support shipping schedules, customer needs, and operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate inventory, product rotation, traceability, and timely warehouse transactions.
- Monitor labor, operating expenses, product loss, service levels, and productivity while identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Partner with Transportation, Distribution, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and other teams to ensure efficient product flow and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain compliance with GMPs, food safety, OSHA, sanitation, company policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting internal and external audits.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop warehouse employees and supervisors while driving accountability, engagement, and retention.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service, productivity, and overall warehouse performance.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management experience.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations. Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean knowledge preferred.
- Experience managing labor, costs, productivity, and operational performance metrics.
- Familiarity with GMPs and food manufacturing or regulated environments preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with WMS systems and Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (4pm-12am)
