Job Description

This role involves safely loading, unloading, and transporting materials between locations, supporting a site move by handling goods, operating material-handling equipment, and ensuring vehicles are efficiently and accurately loaded and unloaded.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks, box trucks, and other vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

• Transport materials back and forth between the current site and the new location, ensuring items arrive intact and on time.

• Use forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials and equipment as directed.

• Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling tools to relocate goods within the facility and vehicles.

• Secure loads properly in vehicles to prevent damage or shifting during transit.

• Handle plastic and other materials carefully to avoid damage and maintain quality.

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing general labor tasks.

• Assist with organizing and staging materials at both the current and new site to support a smooth relocation.

• Inspect equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks before use and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including loading docks, staging areas, and vehicle interiors.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor roles, including material handling and physical work.

• Ability to safely load and unload vehicles, including box trucks, with various types of materials.

• Proficiency in operating a forklift to move and organize items.

• Experience using pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.

• Capability to transport materials between sites while maintaining accuracy and care.

• Strong attention to safety procedures and safe equipment operation.

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and moving of materials throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfort working with different types of materials, including plastic and palletized goods.

• Willingness to support site relocation activities and adapt to changing work locations.

• Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment

The work environment is active and physically engaging, centered around loading docks, warehouse areas, and vehicles involved in a site relocation. You will regularly use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools, and work around box trucks and various stored materials, including plastic and palletized goods. Hours may involve standard warehouse or logistics shifts, with time spent both indoors and outdoors depending on loading and unloading needs. The setting emphasizes safety, proper equipment use, and maintaining an organized workspace, with practical work attire suitable for physical labor and operating industrial equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
