Job Title: Warehouse Receiver Location: Salt Lake City, UT Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0 Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation.
- Record and update inventory information using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Label, sort, and store inventory in designated locations following warehouse procedures.
- Collaborate with procurement, inventory control, and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Operate material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and full inventory audits.
- Support shipping, picking, and other warehouse functions as needed.
- 1+ year of warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems (WMS).
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, scanning equipment).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
