Project Manager

Position Summary:

Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects specializing in deep foundations and earth retention systems, including:

Sheeting and Shoring:

• Soldier pile and lagging walls
• Sheet pile walls
• Tiebacks
• Shotcrete and soil nail walls
• Internally braced walls

Deep Foundations:

• Micropiles
• Driven bearing piles
• Pressure grouting

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Estimating, design, and project management for the installation of deep foundation systems throughout the Midwest, specifically Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals and submittals.
• Budget monitoring and trend tracking
• Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned projects
• Monitor jobs for compliance on applicable codes, engineering practices, and company standards
• Ensure effective communication and production on assigned projects between all crew members and the general contractor
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client, engineering, and project management issues
• Monthly project status reports and change orders
• Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
