Position Overview The Opportunity: Bonus incentives Paid certifications Tuition reimbursement Comprehensive benefits Career advancement This position pays between $18.15 – $19.90 per hour based on experience Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM This position is an onsite role, and candidates must be able to work on‑site at Ardent – Hillcrest Claremore in Claremore, OK. The Inpatient Financial Counseling Specialist performs benefit education and validation. Responsibilities include face‑to‑face review of inpatient benefits, authorization, and collecting inpatient, observation, and outpatient liabilities throughout Ensemble Health Partners. The role involves accurate verification and calculation of patient liabilities, collection of patient payments, with potential nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The Specialist works within the policies and processes across the organization. Responsibilities Assess and collect patient liabilities including copays, deductibles, co‑insurance, and balances after financial assistance. Work with patients during their stay to collect estimated liabilities. Use patient access, insurance eligibility, and follow‑up reports as assigned. Facilitate daily in‑house call reviews to validate a valid payor source and authorization on the account. Complete pre‑registration and registration tasks, collecting patient's financial liability. Monitor missed collection opportunities, make at least three attempts per day to visit patients’ rooms. Note all accounts with daily patient liability. Make follow‑up phone calls to patients unable to make payment while in‑house. Send letters post‑discharge detailing estimated liability and payment options. Work with patients to sign consent to treat, observation, Medicare messages, and other registration‑related forms. Assist eligibility specialists in verification of insurance information, Medicaid, charity processing, and other tasks. Run daily census to determine patients with potential eligibility. Assist in collecting and organizing outpatient orders related to future and current dates of service, using queues within Revenue Cycle systems.
