Travel Infusion Therapy RN Registered Nurse

Job Overview We currently have a client in Sitka, AK seeking a Travel Infusion Therapy RN Registered Nurse. Focus Staff is looking for a traveling Certified Infusion Therapy RN who will manage the coordination of care and nursing functions of an infusion site with the practice and pharmacy. The role involves hospital discharge planning, referral management, and drug and supply inventories. The RN will interact with patients daily to instruct them on medication and disease processes, educate, administer drugs, and safely monitor and follow up as needed. Responsibilities Admit Infusion, Self‑Injectable, and Enteral patients. Teach patients and caregivers how to administer therapies at home. Perform patient visits according to the Plan of Care or as patient need dictates. Deliver age‑appropriate care and instruction. Perform required documentation. Perform case management activities for assigned patients. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of home infusion therapy education protocols and materials. Participate in nursing staff education and training programs to maintain skills for assessing and teaching home infusion therapy patients. Qualifications Motivated candidate seeking career growth. AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers. BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure. At least 2 years of experience as an Infusion Therapy RN (Certified Infusion Therapy RN). Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Job Details Contract Assignment: 13 weeks (Temporary) Shift: 5x8 days Location: Sitka, AK Job Type: Contract/Temporary/Travel Pay depends on location and experience.
