Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical assessments and careful reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work intimately alongside surgeons to formulate and implement patient-specific surgical care plans
• Provide vital intraoperative assistance, including preparing the surgical area, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and passing instruments during surgeries
• Administer outstanding preoperative and postoperative care, which includes managing medications, caring for wounds, planning discharges, and providing patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant training program
• Completion of clinical rotations that focus on surgical practices is strongly preferred

Certifications Needed

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
