Position Summary:

• Maintains compliance with the laws, rules, policies, and procedures governing the renewal and reinstatement licensing of resident and non-resident insurance producers (agents/brokers), consultants, and insurance agencies.
• Accepts and reviews license renewal and reinstatement applications, including civil, criminal, or administrative background documents, and determines candidate eligibility for license renewal in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and policies.
• Works with enforcement divisions, system vendors, industry organizations, and other state departments of insurance to verify possible disqualifications on an individual or firm's record.
• Utilizes various databases and systems when reviewing renewal applications, including attachments warehouses, case management systems, state licensing systems, and broker background-check databases.
• Processes license reinstatement waiver forms required for producers to take the Laws & Regulations exam when reinstating an expired license within one year of expiration.
• Advises candidates on the reinstatement process and requirements and tracks their reinstatement progress.
• Maintains licensing renewal and reinstatement web pages.
• Works with system vendors to troubleshoot system errors, address insurance producer, consultant, or agency renewal/reinstatement concerns, and implement system or process improvements.
• Manages communications with internal and external stakeholders regarding producer, consultant, and agency licensing renewal/reinstatement questions, concerns, or initiatives.
• Reviews continuing education (CE) due-date extension forms and CE retirement exemption forms along with the manager.
