Rheumatologist OpportunityCentral Maine Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our expanding specialty team at Central Maine Medical Center. Our integrated health system offers strong clinical resources, opportunities for professional growth and leadership, competitive compensation, and an exceptional quality of life in Maine.Responsibilities include:Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory disorders including: Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic lupus erythematosus, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Gout and crystal arthropathies, Vasculitis and connective tissue diseasesDevelop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans including biologic and immunomodulatory therapiesPerform joint injections and musculoskeletal assessmentsCollaborate with Primary Care, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Dermatology, and other specialtiesParticipate in multidisciplinary care coordinationMaintain accurate documentation within the EMR systemEngage in quality improvement and patient safety initiativesOptional participation in teaching, research, or community outreach initiativesQualifications include:MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of Internal Medicine residency (ACGME accredited)Completion of Rheumatology fellowshipBoard Certified or Board Eligible in RheumatologyEligible for medical licensure in MaineDEA registrationCentral Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $278,000 to $315,000.
