A Day in the Life of a Legal Assistant

Each day brings a mix of fast-paced, hands-on support as you work alongside attorneys to keep cases moving efficiently. You'll start by checking schedules, coordinating meetings, and answering client and court inquiries. From preparing and revising legal documents to managing e-filings and maintaining organized paper and electronic files, your attention to detail will be key. Whether you're juggling multiple calendars, proofreading a pleading, or stepping in to assist a colleague, your ability to stay organized and adaptable makes you an essential part of our team.

What Matters Most

To excel as a Legal Assistant (Civil Litigation) in the Manchester, NH office, you should have:

• At least three (3) years of recent experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar litigation support role within a law firm.

• A solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures, along with excellent organizational, proofreading, and multitasking skills.

• Prior experience with federal and state court e-filings.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic calendaring, and PDF software.

• Solid verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills are crucial.

• An associate's degree or paralegal certification (bachelor's degree a plus), preferred.
