Looking for a kitchen leadership role where you can actually make an impact?

We’re looking for an experienced Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager to take the lead in a busy, energetic Charleston kitchen that’s more than just a restaurant; it’s an organization that’s actively involved in and gives back to the Charleston community.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves great food, knows how to lead a team, and enjoys having the freedom to make things better.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have a big hand in both the day-to-day kitchen operation and the bigger picture , including:

• Lead the BOH team and make sure food, prep, sanitation, and service are consistently on point
• Be hands-on and visible during the busiest services, especially Friday–Sunday and peak-season Saturdays
• Make sure the kitchen is staffed, organized, and ready to perform when things get busy
• Build schedules and maintain the right staffing levels
• Hire, train, coach, and develop kitchen team members
• Mentor and support Kitchen Managers and help them grow as leaders
• Create Monday–Thursday specials and have a voice in menu development
• Lead the kitchen for special events and catering
• Manage ordering, inventory, pars, food costs, waste, and vendor relationships
• Keep an eye on labor and food costs and find ways to run a smarter, more efficient kitchen
• Help with budgets and operational reporting
• Build a strong kitchen culture where people know what’s expected and enjoy coming to work
• Put systems in place so the kitchen runs smoothly without everything having to go through you

Who We're Looking For

You might be an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Kitchen Manager, or another experienced culinary leader who is ready to take ownership of a kitchen.

The right person is someone who can:

Lead people. Create great food. Solve problems. Manage the business.

You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves when things get crazy, but you also know how to step back and build a team and systems that make the kitchen better long-term.

You’ll need to be comfortable leading through the busiest and most demanding services of the year while keeping your team focused, your standards high, and the kitchen moving.
