Salary: $81,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:
- We require a high school diploma or GED, along with 2+ years of quality inspection experience preferred.
- ASME experience and/or boiler experience is a plus.
- We need the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, with the flexibility to learn additional math functions as needed.
- We expect the ability to apply common-sense judgment to written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized settings.
- We require familiarity with database software, manufacturing software, and word processing tools, plus basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- We need the physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, and occasionally sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- We require the ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds, and at times up to 50 pounds.
- We require close and distance vision and the ability to distinguish colors.
- We inspect products at different stages of production to confirm quality and reliability.
- We work with assemblers and operators to support process control and improve quality outcomes.
- We document inspection and audit results accurately.
- We manage nonconforming product to prevent unintended use and ensure it does not reach customers.
- We complete accurate computer transactions for nonconforming material to keep financial and inventory records correct.
- We read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, bills of material, assembly instructions, and inspection templates.
- We use measuring tools such as calipers, bore gauges, and thread gauges to inspect boilers, sub-assemblies, kitted cartons, machine castings, and other components.
- We quarantine nonconforming items, prepare NCRs, and process material as directed by supervision.
- We communicate inspection findings clearly with our QA team and other departments.
- We investigate and contain quality issues when nonconforming product is identified.
- We assist with testing components and completed boilers.
- We help with programming controls and support the Material Returns department as directed.
- We cross-train for additional QA duties as needed to support department efficiency.
- We use computers or tablets to perform inspections, capture results, and write NCRs.

This is a full-time Quality Specialist role located in Lancaster, PA, with hours from Monday through Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm, and occasional mandatory overtime.
