This role works alongside the kitchen team to prepare menu items, maintain clean workstations, and keep kitchen operations running smoothly throughout the day. Our kitchen environment is fast-paced and team-driven. Successful team members take pride in producing great food, staying organized during busy periods, and supporting their teammates to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Whether preparing food, stocking ingredients, or keeping the kitchen clean and organized, Kitchen Team Members help ensure every guest receives the quality and hospitality Wally’s is known for. Prepare Food Items Assist with preparing menu items using recipes, portion guidelines, and food preparation standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation. Maintain Clean Workstations Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils, and prep stations clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift. Help maintain food production during busy periods by assisting with prep work, assembling menu items, and restocking ingredients. Follow Food Safety Standards Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures to ensure a safe kitchen environment and prevent cross-contamination. Assist with stocking, rotating, and organizing ingredients using proper FIFO practices to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Work as Part of a Team Communicate with teammates and leaders to keep kitchen operations running smoothly and efficiently. What We’re Looking For Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Willingness to learn food preparation and kitchen procedures Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen instructions Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to stand and move throughout the shift Ability to lift 10–25 pounds as needed during the shift Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays Prior kitchen or food service experience is helpful but not required Physical Requirements This role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift while working with kitchen equipment and food preparation areas.
