Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring EPIC experience and specialized OB certifications.

Details

Obstetrics acute unit within a community and regional teaching hospital
Night shift schedule with 36 or 48 hour weekly options, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
EPIC EMR experience required
Floating to Bakersfield required as needed

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
BLS certification required from an approved vendor
AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required
S.T.A.B.L.E Certification required
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
BSN preferred
Acute care facility experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information

Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using established standards and the nursing process
Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care plans
Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care
Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local pay rates match travel rates
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
