Contract Specialist- Healthcare

Responsibilities Collaborate with senior leadership to draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts including provider agreements, vendor contracts, business associate agreements, and confidentiality agreements specific to behavioral health services. Maintain accurate and organized contract files and database(s) (MyHorizon’s MIC Repository). Track and follow up with the programs to ensure that monthly reports are uploaded and/or submitted in a timely manner. Measure and report on contract performance metrics and compliance issues as needed. Collaborate with leadership, legal, compliance, finance, and operational teams to evaluate bids, prepare contracts, negotiate terms and resolve contract-related issues and provide strategic advice. Conduct legal research and analysis related to contract language, behavioral health regulations, and compliance standards. Identify potential legal risks in contract terms and work proactively to mitigate risk. Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Manage contract execution processes including approvals, signatures, and renewals, and oversee vendor management and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs). Support audit and regulatory review preparedness related to contractual documentation. Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract processes and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
