Systems Administrator - 3rd Shift (TS/SCI)

Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Systems Administrator with an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This position requires overnight hours. The normal shift will be 11pm-7am Sunday night through Friday mornings. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: You’ll install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security patches across the network. You’ll monitor system performance and proactively address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or potential problems. You’ll administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems. You’ll provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with IT-related problems and inquiries. You’ll maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). More than 6 years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems management. Proficiency in managing Windows systems. Familiarity with VMware virtualization technology. Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices. Experience with system monitoring and management tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator). Experience working with technical teams to develop and deliver technical documentation Requirements An active Top-Secret, Department of State SCI required to start Extras Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scripting.
