Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Keeper to be responsible for accurate, timely handling and

recordkeeping of parts, semi‐finished goods, and finished goods supporting the production department. This role creates and manages inventory tickets, leads regular inventory checks and cycle counts, coordinates return of NG (non‐good/defective) material with Quality/Production, and promptly reports material shortages or

discrepancies to relevant departments. The Keeper ensures parts are stored, labeled, and issued according to company procedures to minimize downtime and support on‐time production.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage inventory tickets for receiving, issuing, transfers, returns, and scrap; ensure tickets

are complete and entered into the inventory system/ERP/WMS.

• Maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts, work-in-progress, and finished goods; reconcile

system balances with physical counts.

• Lead and execute regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve

discrepancies with relevant departments.

• Identify, segregate and coordinate return or disposition of NG/defective inventory with Quality

Assurance and Production; document root causes or trends when identified.

• Monitor inventory levels and shelf locations; report shortages, critical low stock, or excess slow-moving

items to Production Planning and Procurement.

• Label, store, and stage parts and goods following storage rules, safety procedures, and conservation

practices (FIFO/FEFO, lot traceability).

• Support materials issuance to production lines to meet scheduled demand and minimize line

stoppages; stage kitted parts when required.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization and bin accuracy in the storeroom/warehouse ; enforce appropriate

handling procedures for hazardous or controlled materials.

• Prepare routine inventory and exception reports (accuracy, variances, shortages, returns); participate in

continuous improvement projects to reduce variances and improve flow.

• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks to help maintain accurate inventory records.

• Train or mentor material handlers and other staff on correct ticketing, issuing and basic cycle-count

procedures as required

Qualifications

• High school level diploma or equivalent (required).

• 1–3 years’ experience in inventory control, storeroom or materials handling in a manufacturing

environment.

• Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP/WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

• Basic math and computer literacy skills, including experience with inventory systems or scanners.

• Ability to read part numbers, bills of materials, and basic production paperwork.

• Comfortable with physical activity, lifting (as required by facility policy), and operating pallet jack or

forklift if certified.

• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing production or warehouse setting.

• Exposure to moderate noise levels, machinery, and tools.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.

• Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
