Patient Ratios Typical: 5:1 High Census: Days: Up to 6:1 Nights: Up to 7:1 Qualifications Required Active RN License ACLS Certification NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) Preferred Neuro/Neuroscience experience Skills Neurological patient care IV insertion Foley catheter insertion General Medical-Surgical nursing Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Floating Floating may be required to other Medical-Surgical units within the facility based on patient care needs.
