Location: Port Jefferson, NY
Employment Type: Part-Time
In need of a prep cook/dishwasher to help finish off the summer season and to work during the upcoming fall season.
Looking for someone who is reliable with a good work ethic.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily food preparation: chopping, portioning, labeling, storing ingredients.
- Follow all recipes and guidelines in the kitchen to ensure consistency throughout our menu.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including salad station, hot table, dishwasher, and all equipment used.
- Operate a dishwashing machine and hand-wash items as needed.
- Support the chef or line cook during service with restocking and other basic prep tasks.
- Follow all food safety and health department guidelines.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying focused and reliable
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work mornings, afternoons, and holidays as needed
- Reliable form of transportation and punctual
