Known for advanced medical technologies, cutting-edge clinical research and outstanding patient care, Morton Plant Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in the field."Unlock Your Career Potential: Join our Team of Physical Therapists and Enjoy our Outstanding Benefits!"Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)Paid time offTuition reimbursement401k match and additional yearly contributionYearly performance appraisals and team award bonusCommunity discountsAND the chance to be part of an amazing team and a great place to work!Acute Care Physical Therapist ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute-care patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, medical/surgical, and trauma-related conditions.Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on restoring function, mobility, and independence.Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and patient/caregiver education.Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team.Collaborate on discharge planning, including recommending appropriate next levels of care and durable medical equipment.Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making.Maintain compliance with departmental safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and quality standards.Support mentorship, onboarding, and collaboration with therapy assistants and students as applicable.Requirements:Required BLS (Basic Life Support)Required PT (Physical Therapy)Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtainOr PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 monthsRequired Bachelor's Physical TherapyPreferred 1 year Physical TherapistLocation: Morton Plant - Clearwater, FLStatus: Full Time, Exempt: NoShift Hours: 40 hours per week/DaysWeekend Work: OccasionalOn Call:How often will this team member be working remotely?
