Collectively, we are stronger and more responsive, with a broader geographic footprint.Our manufacturing company needs a full-time Quality Technician I on night shift. This position will report directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and be responsible for all quality activities on their respective shift. This includes, but not limited to, finished product sampling, inspection, and testing, hold product escalation and disposition. He or she will also be pivotal in coaching and correcting Operators and reinforcing quality standards on the production floor. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate to the shift supervisor about machine quality and sanitary conditions, reject root causes and operator performance. This position serves a critical role in the Tellus Products Quality program and will be responsible for quality reports.Responsibilities & Duties:Routinely inspect the final product for defectsCommunicate issues to the supervisor to identify root causes of defects and communicate corrective action to the operator and supervisor.Maintain presence on production floorCommunicate and reinforce quality standards to OperatorsBe able to report on quality issues that require machines to go down for cleaning/maintenanceReport on rejecting drivers per production machine on each shiftOversee the removal and placement of rejectsOversee quality control sampling and testing by Quality TechniciansRespond quickly to issues reported by Quality TechniciansAssisting Quality Management in document filing and reviewProvide detailed report on each production machine at the end of each shiftVerify all paperworkUtilize good manufacturing practices and ensure work is complete to required standardStrong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasksWear appropriate personal protective equipment and identifies hazards that may ariseFollow all health and safety rules and regulationsAny other tasks required from time to time may be assignedExpected to perform critical tests in the lab in the absence of other Quality team membersQualifications & Skills:Must be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED requiredPreferred 1 year of quality experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMust have quality first mentalityBe flexible, reliable and well organizedMust have root cause investigation & reporting skillsHave personal integrity and the drive to do what is bestAbility to learn quicklyWorking knowledge and understanding of Microsoft OfficeGood verbal, reading, writing and basic math skillsPhysically able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching and pulling.Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 poundsThis position requires the flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as needed based on business needs.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
