Compensation: $18.52–$30.52 per hour

Instructional Aide Substitute positions are available for compassionate, dependable professionals seeking flexible, rewarding work in schools near San Joaquin, CA. In this role, you will provide essential academic, behavioral, and social support to students while working alongside teachers and school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This per diem, as-needed opportunity is ideal for individuals who want to make a difference in students’ lives while maintaining control over their schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Assist students through one-on-one and small group instruction as directed by school staff
• Support classroom routines, student participation, and daily transitions
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when necessary
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications & Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a TB test in accordance with district requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance or lifting support when needed
• Willingness to complete all required school clearances prior to beginning work
Preferred Experience
• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is a plus but not required
• Patient, reliable, and committed to teamwork
