The ideal candidate is self-driven, enthusiastic, and motivated to make a quality difference within our territories.We are looking for career-oriented individuals — not just someone looking for a job.Competitive PerksCompetitive Pay401(k) with Company Match50% of Medical Insurance Cost Covered by EmployerCompany-Paid IICRC Certifications & Continuing Education (including renewals)Career Growth & Advancement OpportunitiesPosition SummaryA Fire & Contents Moving Technician is a key component of our restoration team, responsible for handling, packing, moving, cleaning, and protecting customer contents and furniture during fire, smoke, water, and restoration-related losses.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, helping customers during difficult situations, and working closely with a team to restore homes and businesses.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCarefully pack, wrap, move, and transport furniture, contents, and personal belongings to prevent damageLoad and unload contents from homes, businesses, storage facilities, and company vehiclesPhotograph, identify, label, and inventory customer contents accuratelyThoroughly clean smoke residue from contents and structuresAssist with contents manipulation and furniture moving during restoration projectsProvide post-job site cleaning and maintain organized, clean work environmentsRespond to restoration, remediation, damage, and sanitary cleaning jobs according to IICRC standards and company processesMaintain timely communication with peers regarding job status, scope of work, and documentationEstablish and maintain schedules to ensure services are delivered in a timely mannerMaintain company equipment, moving supplies, and restoration equipment to ensure readiness and cleanlinessCross-train in related restoration services and assist with additional duties as neededWork both independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficientlyRequirements & SkillsNot afraid to roll up your sleeves and perform physical, hands-on workStrong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitudeEmpathy and professionalism when working with customers during difficult situationsEagerness to learn and grow within the Restoration IndustryAbility to safely lift and/or move up to 100 pounds frequently throughout the dayComfortable with prolonged walking, standing, bending, lifting, and working in varying environments while wearing PPEValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a drug test and extensive background screeningAvailable for full-time work with overtime and on-call rotationsWhy Join Rainbow Restoration?At Rainbow Restoration, we believe in investing in our employees and creating long-term career opportunities.
