Position: Sautee/Grill Chef
Location: 911 North E St, Richmond, IN
Job 1 Type: Part-Time | 15–25 hours/week
Job 2 Type: Part-Time | 20–30 hours/week
Pay: $10–$12/hr (depends on proven skills)
---Job Overview---
The Cordial Cork is a cozy, family-owned restaurant known for warm hospitality, creative menus, and quality ingredients. We're looking for a talented Sautee/Grill Chef who takes pride in their craft and enjoys being part of a team. If you're passionate about food and want to grow in a supportive kitchen environment, we’d love to meet you.
As a Sautee/Grill Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the operations of the kitchen, and assisting in the daily operations of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, and ensuring high-quality food production.
---Hours of Operation---
Tuesday-Saturday: 4pm-9pm (Dinner)
Sunday: 9am-2pm (Brunch)
CLOSED Monday

- Service Hours (listed above)
- Shifts end roughly 30 minutes after close
- Flexibility is available with notice—but we do need you most Sundays , Fridays/Saturdays , and at least one weekday
- If you’re unable to meet that availability, this might not be the right fit
---Duties---
- Create and cook delicious, beautifully presented meals that impress our guests
- Help lead kitchen operations and support the Head Chef
- Keep things running smoothly when the Head Chef is off
- Maintain high standards for food safety and cleanliness
- Work alongside a collaborative kitchen team that shares your passion for quality
---Skills & Qualifications---
- You have at least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen (beyond dishwashing)
- Confident with a knife and skilled in sautéing, grilling, and plating
- Passionate about food, flavor, and presentation
- Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen with a strong team dynamic
- Knowledgeable about safe food handling practices
- Creative and excited to contribute your own flair to our evolving menu
---Nice to Have (but not required)---
- Food Handler or Food Safety Certification
- Willingness to relocate to the Richmond, IN area (if not already nearby)
