Position Overview

The CDL Bus Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up blood mobiles at various blood drives.

Essential Functions

• Bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups
• Must be able to work a variable PRN schedule for bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups from our Bracken Road location to various blood drives
• Understands and supports the quality goals of the company
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Courier duties as assigned
• Deliveries of extra supplies to drives that need additional items
• Other duties as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License and valid CDL Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
• One year job related experience is preferred
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the buses used by The Blood Connection
• Excellent customer services skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers

Physical Demands

• Lifting and/or pulling/pushing up to 50 pounds
• Sitting for an extended period
• Bending and twisting
