EHS & Compliance Manager

Role Overview As an EHS and Compliance Manager, you will lead the environmental, health, and safety organization on site through the development, implementation and maintenance of effective management systems. You will provide technical advice and assistance to Site Engineering and EHS Director, Site Leadership Team, managers and staff to enable EHS performance to be managed effectively and contribute toward achieving the Manufacturing site vision. Responsibilities Monitor and report EHS performance, and share lessons and best practices within the site and across the regional supply chain. Ensure EHS site objectives are aligned with the corporate EHS plan and priorities. Investigate EHS accidents and high‑potential incidents, identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions. Champion human factors and human reliability in risk assessment and system design. Manage adverse audit and inspection findings and close gaps in EHS risks. Improve site safety culture by encouraging and rewarding safe behaviours. Integrate the internal control framework and Haleon policies into a site‑specific management system. Oversee the EHS department budget. Implement crisis management processes and support business continuity and loss‑prevention plans. Collaborate with Shared Services (Quality, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, HR, IT, Procurement, etc.) to embed EHS into site strategy and continuity plans. Develop relationships with other EHS professionals to share best practices and staff development. Ensure sufficient qualified EHS staff and support their development for succession plans. Promote a culture of full disclosure of EHS regulatory compliance, audit results and incidents. Build and maintain trustful relationships with customers and stakeholders. Communicate and influence with persuasive reasoning and ethical decision‑making. Lead and develop direct‑report EHS staff and adhere to all Quality Compliance standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Occupational Safety (or related specialization). At least 10 years of experience in the EHS field, including a minimum of 4 years managing a team. Experience managing EHS risks in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or high‑hazard sectors. Master’s degree preferred. Membership in a recognised professional organisation (e.g. ASSP, AIHA). Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Extensive knowledge of EHS requirements and regulations. Proficiency in EHS tracking databases (e.g. EHS One). Strong relationship‑building and networking skills. Benefits Salary range: $133,171 to $183,110.40 plus a 12% performance bonus.
