Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our healthcare client is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join their Technical Services team. This position is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong experience in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Microsoft 365 technologies.
The engineer will play a key role in supporting enterprise systems, leading infrastructure projects, and helping drive ongoing modernization efforts across the organization.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to high-impact initiatives including security remediation, SSO implementations, operating system upgrades, and Microsoft 365 migration projects.
What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions
• Administer Windows, Linux, and AIX server environments
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, ADFS, SSO, and PKI solutions
• Support Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
• Maintain file services, DFS environments, and storage platforms
• Participate in server lifecycle management, patching, and upgrade initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
• Create and maintain operational documentation and technical standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver technical solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments
• Strong Active Directory administration experience
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) technologies including:
  • Active Directory
  • ADFS
  • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • SSO
  • PKI
• Experience supporting file services and storage solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and systems administration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Linux and/or AIX administration experience
• Exchange Server and Exchange Online
• Microsoft Teams administration
• SharePoint Online and OneDrive
• Azure cloud services
• Azure DevOps
• Terraform
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 migrations

Work Environment

• Hybrid work environment
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Fresno, CA
• On-call rotation approximately once every 9 weeks
• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with flexible start times

This is a Permanent position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105664.00 - $134451.00/yr.
Tuition reimbursement, education programs, and scholarships Vacation time starts building on Day 1, and builds with your seniority 403(b) retirement plan with up to 8% matching contributions
