Maintenance Mechanic - Plumbing As a Maintenance Mechanic focused on plumbing, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing and water-based building systems critical to daily facility operations. Your responsibilities also include supporting general building maintenance such as HVAC-related systems, boilers, compressors, lighting, and minor electrical work in a pharmaceutical distribution and office setting. Key Responsibilities Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems, including domestic water systems, process and laboratory water systems, sanitary and storm sewer systems, sump pumps, and grease traps. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace valves, piping, fixtures, regulators, pumps, and related components. Support building systems including HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air, and utility piping systems. Respond promptly to service calls, alarms, and emergency situations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation using a CMMS. Perform all work in accordance with SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable codes. Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and other skilled trades as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial building maintenance with a strong emphasis on plumbing systems. Demonstrated senior-level maintenance mechanic experience. Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to complete a background check. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, or manufacturing facilities. Journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification. CMMS experience (Maximo, Archibus, or similar). Working knowledge of mechanical or HVAC systems. Work Environment Pharmaceutical distribution center with office space. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work in mechanical spaces. Location Onsite – New Albany, OH Work Shift Week 1: Sunday – Tuesday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Week 2: Sunday – Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly rate: $32.00 – $38.00 + overtime opportunities.
