What you’ll tackle

• Own safe work practices aligned to OSHA and GM standards.
• Service, repair, and maintain plant electrical and electronic systems.
• Pinpoint malfunctions in controls, drives, and circuits; resolve issues fast to prevent delays.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across diverse equipment.
• Interpret prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics with precision.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and contribute to CI efforts.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving daily.

Must-haves

• 6+ years as an Electrician OR a U.S. DOL Certificate of Completion in Electrical.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to work any shift (day/afternoon/night) and overtime, weekends, and holidays—often on short notice.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Physical realities of the role

• React quickly to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
• Stand for long periods; move confidently in a dynamic plant setting.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. depending on department; occasional seated tasks.
• Operate mobile equipment when required.

Pay, status, and scheduling

• Role may be filled as Journeyperson In Training (JIT) or Journeyperson.
• JIT: $37.77–$44.06/hr; Journeyperson: $44.96/hr.
• Status and pay depend on certificates/credentials and interview scoring.
• Flexible shifts with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays.
