Step into a vital role supporting students across multiple schools within a collaborative, forward-thinking educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on providing occupational therapy services to students aged 3–21, primarily within an assigned zone to minimize commute times. Your home base will be the district office, allowing you to efficiently travel between 6–7 assigned campuses in the southwest Houston area.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting required; seasoned COTAs with multiple years’ relevant experience considered
• Strong evaluation and documentation skills, familiar with SHARES school health and Onward software a plus
• Ability to support a caseload of approximately 70 students with 30–40 receiving direct services on a rotating schedule
• Valid Texas state background check and fingerprinting (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
• Deliver direct and consult-based therapy as outlined in student IEPs, maintaining clear and organized documentation within district systems
• Coordinate services across a caseload, ensuring compliance and high-quality care for each assigned school
• Serve as lead OT, independently managing all aspects of treatment without COTA support
• Operate professionally at all times, meeting daily from approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (some variation may apply)
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies and procedures
